Hi there, welcome! I am a research economist and advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance, with a special focus on issues related to monetary policy. My work is not tied to one particular approach but includes both theoretical models and empirical methods, as well as macroeconomic and microeconomic data. At the San Francisco Fed, I provide analysis and advice to the bank’s president and board of directors on current economic developments. I am also a co-founder and organizer of the Center for Monetary Research.

On this site, you can find my academic papers, short articles, conference discussions, replication codes, data sets, and my CV.

I am currently visiting the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE and Goethe University Frankfurt.
